Icebreakers are exercises to set the tone for participants participating in team building activities. These activities are also used to let the participants introduce themselves informally and in a creative way. Without the icebreakers, introduction to one another would be boring especially if the participants are new to each other. Here are some simple icebreaker activities that can be used for any group.
In the internet, you can find many Great Icebreaker Activities.
One of the simple icebreaker activities is Little Known Fact. The participants take turns introducing their name, work, position in the company with additional “little known fact” about oneself. This “little known fact” is something about oneself that not all people know or even no one knows. By sharing this “little known fact”, this places a connection between the participants.
The next icebreaker activity is the Two Truths and One Lie. In this activity, one person shares three statements to the group as a way of introducing oneself. These statements can either be a false statement or a true statement. In total, the participant must say two truthful statements and one false statement about oneself. The rest of the participants will then vote which of the statements are true and which is false.
Icebreakers can be used even during Team Building Ideas for Leaders.
